Abstract
Taiyuan Sicheng Mechanical Equipment Co., Ltd. welcomed a visit from MMK Group customers from Russia on March 10, 2024.
MMK is Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, the largest steel company in Russia. Located approximately 10 kilometers northeast of Magnitogorsk in the Chelyabinsk Oblast of the Ural region, between Mount Magnitnaya (a phosphorous iron mountain) and the Ural River (a Eurasian border river), it was founded in 1929.
Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works produced its first iron in 1932 and began producing steel and steel products in 1933. By the eve of the Great Patriotic War, it had built four ore dressing plants, sintering plants, coke ovens, and blast furnaces each, sixteen open-hearth furnaces, and eleven rolling mills.
Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) is the largest steel company in Russia, ranked 20th in the world, with its products accounting for approximately 20% of the Russian market share.
